Can somebody with a platinum account DM Tiaz and ask if the email verification is working properly please? I’ve checked all my folders but nothing’s come through... don’t want to miss out!

your email provider has always hated SASS :( I switched to using mail delivery providers a couple years ago, but they hate those too. Check your spam filter/use a different email (and maybe forward it to your 'real' one) is the best I have for now. Probably next time, but potentially depending on how much time I get this weekend, sms verification will be available instead since it's not filtered quite as aggressively

If this doesn't work for you, let me know; I'm willing to send notices manually through PMs or whatever, just not for literally all of you!

As promised, hi Santa!
I'm a 39 year old goon living in The Netherlands with my wife and 4 y/o daughter. My wife is into this as well. We'd appreciate any stuff from your region of the world like snacks, candy etc. I'm a typical goon that likes science, gaming and geek stuff, my wife likes Spanish and South-American culture/language stuff and my daughter loves Disney princesses and the usual stuff for a girl. Go hog wild! (no NSFW or 420 plz; I'd like to involve my daughter a bit in the "mystery package")

I've been part of this mess 5? times or so. It's always amazing to me the things people send across the globe.

You will get stuff. Probably some things I think you should eat (live bees) and some you should not (dead bees). Enjoy.

I'm a not-yet 40 y/o father of two who spends his time learning IT-project management and running. So much running. 2020 has been poo poo for everything, but I managed 6 ultramarathons all the same.

I mostly enjoy stuff I can eat or drink, but only because I lack imagination to wish for stuff. Whatever you feel I should experience from your neck of the woods is what I crave. Be it cake, art, cowboy boots or City Name Sports Team rings, I'm game. NSFW is ok, drugs will get lost or stolen by customs. Alcohol is legal and cool.

We have two daughters and we live in Japan forever (originally from California). Our island/area is well-protected and not in lockdown.

International mail is still delayed so please poke air holes for the bees. Some package types are blocked completely so please don't send huge or heavy packages (bigger than an Amazon box or heavier than 2kg). Message me on the SASS site if you have any questions at all.

Dear Santee,

Still floofin

Dear Santa Person

Mid 30’s goonette here. I draw, cook and sew in my spare time. I’m very fond of stationary, neat pens, and interesting fabrics. Also, I have no food allergies (unless the food is made of penicillin) so non-penicillin based treats are always appreciated, along with any recipes you want to share.

I’m a 2x in a shirt. I’m also perennially tired because of medical reasons, so I like comforting soothing things like lavender candles and fluffy ankle socks.

We have a floofy chinchilla for a child, so don’t need to worry about keeping things family friendly. (She doesn’t read)

Dear Potential Santee:

I ship homemade things, things adjacent to what is above, and things I find funny. Good luck.

Signed up a few hours ago. My first year!

Santa: I’m a 33 year old goonette, married to another goon since earlier this month. I’m a film nut: I love horror movies, especially goopy violent body horror. I also love Animal Crossing, the Alien franchise, weird cuddly toys, drawing, photography, socialism, funny socks, books about filmmaking, synthwave, chocolate, spicy food and both cats and dogs. Goon husband is a computer toucher who collects rubber ducks. NSFW is cool, but the pearl-clutching fuddy-duddies in stupid country’s postal system probably won’t be too happy about liquids or drug stuff being sent to us.

Santee: I WILL DRAW SOMETHING COOL FOR YOU. I’ll send something cool with the drawing but rest assured you’re getting a drawing.

Back again, actually remembered this year.

Santa: 29-year old goonnette, married another lady nerd this summer. My wife points out that I don't really have non-political hobbies, but I'll think of stuff.

We just signed a lease on a house this week after living in apartments for years, so stuff for our yard or shed would be cool. Not sure what, but go hog wild. Otherwise, I also like to exercise and have two cats. Goons have also sent me cat toys - they like flyer toys - with wire instead of string and stiff feathers or other fabric-y toys at the end. They also like yarn-y and crinkle-y toys, and kicker toys.

Santee: I hope you post your wish list!

Santa! This year is turboed, and I don't care anymore. I'm nearly 37, I live with my wife (for reals) and have a 16 month daughter and a Labrador. I'm a software engineer and Jesus do I hate my job. I do long distance running so anything to listen to is great. Audiobooks, random bands whatever. Otherwise I am exactly as you would expect. Good films only came out in the 80's, indie games are the best and Megadeth are supreme. The only good thing about going to work is sometimes I get to ride a motorbike there.

What's new, Pusscat?
In a year where everything has changed, I'm loving the constancy of SASS. In fact it's so ingrained I already bought something bee-related before even signing up - the urge is strong!

As always, massive thanks to Tiaz for being a legend and arranging this once again.

Will this year be the year that I finally get someone who is not also a UK goon to ship to? (Despite clicking SPACE every time because I want an excuse to shop for lots of chocolate and to eat anything that can't fit in the box...)

Dear Father Christmas,

Don't panic that I only post in December every year - as you will see, I come out of lurkerdom just to post pics of my cats rolling around in whatever SASSmas brings. I will never be a rude santee who goes dead. I have been doing this for so many years, I started off as a teenager and now I have grey hairs.

This year has been pretty turbulent. I left my job of 10+ years and moved from a landlocked county to a house overlooking the coast. Aforementioned house is a Victorian hot mess that has done nothing but fall apart since I moved in, but hey those high ceilings are great despite the water dripping through them, the broken boiler, the neverending mildew...

I'm now trying to get into work that will take me aboard ships to cold places, so I am learning to tie knots and stocking up on cold weather gear as my fingers and toes are like ice at the best of times. If you live in a cold country, perhaps you can recommend an essential bit of kit? If you are crafty then I am always up for things like knitted hats, gloves or even socks. If you are arty then I have lots of blank space on white walls. I love reading about polar history and wildlife.

I am a lip balm addict and I would love it if you could send me a few lip balms from your neck of the woods (tubes/gels are a lot better than pots). Anything that isn't a global brand like Nivea/Carmex is interesting to me. I am trying to be a bit more eco where possible - apart from the whole sending packages across the globe thing - so maybe any useful eco homeware things could be fun. I do love chocolate, despite trying to lose weight (clearly failing as I have written this on every SASS post for the last decade). If you happen to be American please send Milk Duds, those are the only edible American chocolates and they're bloody addictive. Hersheys is the spawn of the devil.

I hope that gives you some ideas but I'm always happy to answer questions if needed.

Dear Santee,

All the bees are coming your way. Plus whatever other goodies I can find while the UK is in the throes of lockdown.

Love and kisses,

Mother Christmas

Hi Santa!

I skipped last year but this year has been pretty terrible so I want to send something fun out before my lovely island pulls up the drawbridge and disappears up it's own arse singing Rule Brittania.

I am a 30-something she-goon from the UK. I draw, crochet and paint, I love fish and deep sea animals, horror games and films and eat too much chocolate. No allergies but I hate banana flavoured stuff. NSFW is fine. I collect key rings, phone charms and Re-ment style miniatures (or "tiny japanese crap" as my brother calls it). Something like a snowglobe/keyring/tree ornament from where you live would be really cool :shobon:
If you need any other ideas I can link to my Steam or Amazon list.

Santa,

I’m a 20-something person who has 2 one eyed cats and a partner who puts up with an intense amount of nonsense from me. I mostly lurk nowadays, but I got recced to join in here from the fountain pen thread.

I am a visual artist and I work a lot in watercolor and ink. I love pins and buttons a lot, my lanyards and bags are COATED in them. Unfort I have a ton of food allergy issues due to oral allergy syndrome. I’m not sure what else to say really.

Edit: NSFW is fine and also I really like horror movies and BUGS!

Final edit: no 420, and I forgot my crippling addictions to both makeup and cryptids. Fresno Night-crawlers are my babies.

Santee,

Look forward to picking out something cool for you!

Hi Santa, I've been terrible this year. I'm a 33yo ladygoon and I live with my husband (also a goon, we met at a goon game night, very romantic, yes yes) and our cat. I've been working from home since forever and, like many people, will be for the foreseeable forever. We have a tree for the first time so nifty cat-safe ornaments would be neat. Otherwise (to the extent feasible) cool local things to you would also be neat. I like coffee, baking, video games (mostly final fantasy xiv these days), and probably other things I can't think of; I don't really like licorice or fish. As far as alcohol goes I mostly just drink ciders, the drier the better. Please no clothes or tobackies (no matter how wacky).

Santa:

Sorry I'm going to be crushingly dull to stalk on SA – I've literally just returned for this every year for the last I don't know how many years, and don't really have anything new to add.

31 year old Brit ladygoon here. I'm a graphic designer, currently working from my parent's house (so please avoid anything NSFW), getting used to my work and social life being conducted almost entirely via Zoom/Google. I like design-related stuff, particularly to do with branding and typography, interesting designs – especially of natural things like birds, beetles and octopi, but really anything nice to look at! Prints can be expensive but if you see any good greetings cards/post cards, I often frame them for my cut-price art collection. I also have a lot of nicnacs on display (when I'm back at home), and collect objects that are both functional and decorative (with appealing designs/patterns), such as tea towels, tins and mugs – the latter of which I use as either pen pots (I have a lot of stationery) or to eat my cereal out of because I don't drink tea or coffee (or alcohol – basically I have the taste buds of a two year old and am a very fussy eater/drinker). If you're creative/crafty I would love to get something you've made. I also love getting Christmas ornaments from SASS – they always go on the family tree in pride of place!

Thanks in advance Santa! And once again, to my Santas of Christmas past – you are all wonderful.

Santee:

Last year, as normal, I spent a tonne of time and £ putting together a parcel for my santee only for the postman on his end to deliver it to a mystery party (not entirely sure what the point of tracking/'signed for' is if there's no way of back-tracing parcels in any way when misdelivered). Was pursuing some sort of refund through the post office when Covid spiralled and work went arrrrg, and forgot to see it through, so sadly my santee just got some Amazon vouchers and a whole load of cross-stitch patterns in the end. If you're reading this santee – sorry, and better luck this year. Hope you enjoyed the film and the stitchery at least?

This year I've temporarily moved so I don't have my starter-for-ten pressie stash to dig into, but let's see what a small, semi-lockedown seaside town can provide... My salary got Corona'd but what are savings for but to blow on a bizarre combination of gifts for an internet stranger? Let's just hope your neighbours aren't thieving bastards like my last santee's.
