At the start of 2020, we thought it's been a couple years since our other cat passed. Maybe if we got a kitten, Lucy would get off her rear end and quit being so miserable.

So we got us a kitty whose mama was a ragdoll mix (looks very ragdoll), and papa was a big ol' orange tabby. The house where he was born had young kids, and he got handled by kids frequently from an early age.

This magnificent cuddle monster is Peter Parker

Unlike drat near every other cat I've ever heard of, this is actually not a trap. He loves his belly rubs. A toddler can slam their face right in that fuzzy belly, and he loves it.

Well, Lucy sure was not happy with Petey constantly harassing her, so we scratched our heads, and came up with a grand idea: MOAR KATZ!

Since Petey was such a great cat, we went back to the well, and picked up another kitten from the next litter.

This is Charlie Parker


We nervously followed every bit of advice we could get on introducing cats, and crossed our fingers. At this point we were 0 for 2 introductions, with Lucy just hating every cat we put into her space.

But, we had great success with the brothers.



These two are inseparable.

I'm very low on bread so the store is an important part of the process to survive here, however yesterday i had noodles made out of zucchini and it was very good and I now know that this exists

In the US we call them Zoodles. It's a really dumb name but if you put olive oil and asiago cheese and oregano on them they're very good.

Okay so here's the tragic end of the gently caress HUT:

Back a couple months ago it got flooded all to poo poo, so we tore it down and burned the couch that was in it. The couch was very gross. There was about a foot and a half of water in the hut.

Beans from dry are the best. My bean life was changed when I learned about the quick soak (1 hour in just-boiled water, rather than overnight in cold water).
