I know the Seinfeld sounds are pretty cheesy, but I appreciate the music more when I found out the guy played a new "score" for every single episode, all 180 of them. I wonder if that's been done on any other show in the modern era? Maybe Letterman or something.

Johnny Costa and his band improvised the theme and music (which Fred Rogers composed) live for every episode of Mr. Roger's Neighborhood... there's 912 episodes.

I don't know if they still do it like this, but the simpsons used to use a guitar synth setup for sound fx.

Too many knobs, but otherwise that's pretty cool. I wonder if it's built like a Danelectro.

First Act custom Shop does some interesting stuff. Matt Pike's 9 string is First Act, I'm pretty sure.

Too many? Seems like it's missing phase toggles to me. And I don't see any way to do serial/parallel, either.

I don't know if you guys are in that HM-2 waza group but never have I been so sure that guitarists are idiots who know literally nothing about how pedals work, how they're made or how businesses work. Just the number of people wanting boss to "add a switch that lowers the noise floor" arghh

Just make a pedal that has a single knob going from "bad tone" to "good tone". Actual hardware isn't even needed, just give it a cool name and graphic and sell it for 200 dollars.

unnecessary components like potentiometers robs your signal of tone

what you need for the ultimate in clarity and transparency is a direct connection between two jacks in a pedalboard-friendly housing

The singer in my former band sometimes stepped on my tuner during gigs, which incidentally cleared up most of my bad tone. He was also very fat and stood very close to me and the guitarists occasionally, muting our strings with his belly. He's a super cool dude though.

Everything I say draws controversy. It's kinda like the abortion issue.

On what planet would anyone ever spend $1200 dollars for this? I don't get why people so greatly overvalue their gear, especially on reverb. For example- https://reverb.com/item/31521951-yamaha-ssc500-1981-natural
I bought this guitar in a cooler looking red for $150 including tax last year at a pawnshop. This Goob is trying to get $1200 dollars for his. I'm also pretty sure that it's a Gibson scale guitar while he says it's fender scale. People just think that anything vintage means worth at least a thousand dollars. Stupid! Also Jerry Garcia played one like once at a gig because his regular guitar got stolen or misplaced. I think he borrowed it from the opening band.

My EQD Plumes goes for about $100, plus it has three clipping modes.

Speaking of people overpricing their gear, I saw this on reddit the other day;

quote:

I recently bought a Squier Jazzmaster and reliced it (I also put new pickups - Fender V-Mod's - in) and was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying it. I love the guitar, but I want to see if this is something I can do to make a little money.

Mods, this is not self promotion; I don't have a company to promote yet. Just looking to see if people would be interested.

It's the first time I've reliced a guitar, but I think it looks pretty good.

As I said, I put Fender Jazzmaster V-Mod pickups in it, it still has the original blue color and tortoise shell pick guard; it has the original squire neck; and I put a clear satin polyurethane finish on it. I can change electronics and hardware if you want, its just going to cost a little more.

The price I came up with is $1500. Its my first time doing anything like this, but I think it's a fair price.

I can change any parts on it you want, but it will cost a little extra. I will charge for the price of the part + $20 to change it.

I can set the guitar up any way you want. The action right now is fairly low (a lot lower then how the guitar came from the store) but I can raise or set it up differently any way you want for an extra $20.

If you don't want a Jazzmaster, I can relic and modify anything you want. I will charge the price of parts x 2 plus $300. Just send me a request with as many specifics as you can. If you want a certain part please send a link just to be sure.

If you are interested in the Jazzmaster I can send you pictures of it.

For now I'm only shipping in the US.
