Honorable Mentions for December 2, 2020 Jon Moxley vs Kenny Omega - AEW Winter Is Coming This was a real good match and an important match. It wasn't a Match of the Year contender however. There was some definite sloppiness between the two, and the pacing wasn't the most even thing in the world. The biggest issue I had with the match was probably when Moxley abandoned trying to pin Omega after hitting his finisher to go set up some chairs for what felt like a really contrived and out of place exhausted punching while sitting down spot. I know some people didn't like the dirty finish, but considering what it is leading to and what the post match payoff wound up being, it was completely fine, and Moxley was protected by having to withstand multiple V-Triggers before being planted with OWA. Even the matches that aren't technically great are enjoyable & entertaining. Bit annoyed I started watching too late to watch it all in one sitting but on the plus side, I've got the 2 matches I'm most excited for (Sareee/Itoh vs Kong/Yamashita & Sakazaki vs Mizuki) saved for tomorrow.

HM 7th November Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestle Princess Maki Itoh and Sareee vs Aja Kong and Miyu Yamashita Can't nominate the tournament finals because they work so light it's comical and not in a good way. When I've just watched Sareee try to decapitate someone with a dropkick it's really hard to accept strikes that look like they are clearly whiffing. Nice story though.

DDT D-Oh Grand Prix December 4th MOTYC Yukio Sakaguchi vs HARASHIMA HM MAO vs Konosuke Takeshita The first half of the card was kinda meh but the last two matches were really good, outside of a pretty horrific looking botch in the main event that took it out of MOTYC status for me. The finish seemed weird and improvised, so really hoping we don't have a second guy forfeiting the last of his matches through injury.
