You don't realize how huge sea lions are unless you're looking at them in person or have something to size them up against. They big. Big enough to be intimidating but close enough to human size that you can relate to them on your own scale. If that makes sense. When you see them swim their "mane" is much more obvious than when they're on land. But when they're on land you can hear them roar. Those plus the sheer size of the things helps understand why they're sea lions and not just seals. Enough of me making a fool of myself. Those are some cute sleeping sea lions.

Sea lions can be pretty chill. In the Galapagos there are beaches where you can swim and the juveniles will swim around you. Really shows how badly even a good human is in the water. One swam right underneath me and blew bubbles right in my face.
