His best story is easily Metal Gear Solid 2, I think that game totally holds up.

I played Pirates! on the C=64 as a kid. I don't actually remember - did it have a plot at all? Could you "beat" it? (I know I never did but that means nothing.)

i've found watching lps of the mgs games much easier than trying to play them because i can just have it on in the background while the 30th 15min cutscene is playing instead of having it interrupt my gameplay session it's sad to think how kojima will pack in all these little details and mechanics into his games that most people will never find because the actual gameplay time is like 4 hours in all of them from of how many loving cutscenes and codec calls there are site fucked around with this message at 17:42 on Dec 5, 2020 |

welp i love(d) mario 35 a ton, playing it almost daily, but yesterday ended up with a guy cheating so bad that it might put me off the game forever everyone else had died so it was just the two of us and the guy was somehow spamming Bowsers at me - the way M35 works is when you kill an enemy it ends up on one of your opponent's screens, and obviously Bowsers are only at the end of castle levels, so there's no way someone should be able to just toss three in a row into your level. if it was more than just the two of us it would have been possible - since everyone would be killing (original) Bowsers and then they'd start kind of getting passed around as people killed their ghosts, but with just two players remaining that poo poo isn't possible without some wild cheating

Keyboard steering is too imprecise even for ETS2 and co.. And I'm not even speaking from experience as it sounds awful to play. Controller is acceptable but a steering wheel is preferred, with a shifter, if possible.

there should be a VR fps game where you're in a wheelchair. ive only played a few VR games but they all tried to solve the "no walking" problem by warping around or using a joystick or whatever. just put the player in a wheelchair, much more natural because you can sit while being mobile and you don't have to be in a car or mech or something more involved so it can still feel like youre out in the open

I wonder if a VR game could come up with a very convincing way to have the game be about a person sitting at a chair manipulating objects through some big portal or something; like, even driving a drone or something. Or rather, I wonder if something like that could trick people's brains into not getting freaked out about the motion by giving you a kind of anchor.
