I'm in a weird place where my everyday internet connection sucks but every so often I can drag my PC to my parents' place to download all the big updates I need. I went ahead and bought the game today to do the preload. Now I'm back home and reading about a 40GB day one patch. If that's true? Cuz if so I should just refund it now and wait a few weeks for the patch cadence to slow down.

Its weird seeing goons be shocked that cdpr hosed up in all the ways people told you they would probably gently caress up in. Using an epilepsy diagnostic trigger without warning is a bear trap I didn't think anyone would stick their underwear covered dick in though

This NPC culling thing is disconcerting. Hope it ain't gonna do that poo poo on PC with high or ultra settings. Given how distinctive some NPCs are, having them go away completely when they go out of sight would be jarring.

I'm trying to decide which version to get for this. My PC is basically a Frankenstein of sorts by this point, so I'll drop the important bits from speccy: CPU Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.30GHz 33 °C Haswell 22nm Technology RAM 16.0GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (10-10-10-30) Motherboard ASRock H97M Pro4 (CPUSocket) 35 °C Graphics 8192MB ATI Radeon RX 480 Graphics (XFX Pine Group) 54 °C My other option is my PS4 pro. I'll eventually grab this for PC (again, if needed) when I upgrade, but as far as playing now, which version should I go for? PC is running an SSD for the game, not so with the Pro. I feel my CPU might be a bit anemic by this point on PC

Does the game not have the standard epilepsy warning? I assumed no warning meant there is no special "this will cause a seizure" warning for that specific sequence.

Yeah, it seems like rather than just flashing Pikachu CDPR thought it would be great to go direct to the source and find the single thing to virtually guarantee epileptic seizures. The stupidity is astounding.
