Honestly streaming services are probably a pretty good match for this game, it feels generally slow and mushy enough already for a little extra latency to not really change things. Played the game for hours last night and got right up to the start of the big heist in Act I. Really enjoying it, but some of the design choices feel like such a wasted nod to genre conventions. Like, maybe I'm just not far enough in for the upgrades to feel interesting or meaningful, but there's so much junk/boring loot/containers full of meaningless garbage. Why incentivize picking up every ash tray and deck of cards by having a "sell all junk" button in shops? More importantly, who the hell is leaving decks of cards all over Night City? Why are vendors willing to buy all of this poo poo for 3 cyberdollars each, especially when they can walk out into any alley and find 3 more sets of them? Why does V hoover up all of this garbage (or at least have his cybereyes configured to highlight it all when in The equipment so far feels samey and boring too, but hopefully that's just the fact that it's early in the game. It's going to be a little disappointing if most of the game is just trading in my [common] generic rifle of 75 dps for an [uncommon] generic rifle of 77 dps + 3 chemical damage, and unplugging my cyberarms of +10% carry weight to swap out for cyberarms of +12% carry weight <repeat for 60 hours with slightly higher numbers each time>. The hacking seems a little underwhelming too, but I guess having something like the matrix from the Sega Genesis Shadowrun game wasn't in the cards since it'd wall off too much content for characters not specializing in hacking. In fact, I really just want a modern remake of the Genesis Shadowrun game. Rereading these complaints feels dumb because I really am enjoying things so far and can't wait to get back and lose myself in the game again for hours - it just feels baffling how some of this stuff isn't more tightly designed after all the time under development.

Also anyone else just doing side stuff before the Heist? I swear I’m not trying to intentionally, but all the stuff is really good. Oh I’m actually happy with crafting, seems to be the way Prey was based on a goons description last night. Simple and doesn’t require tons of trying to find some rare rear end plant in a huge area.

I don't think I'm leaving too much money on the table as the junk prices are very small compared to mission pay outs. But still it seems like its only in the game because its expected to have some sort of junk loot system.

My hesitation with the junk to mats skill is if it means you're basically sacrificing the option to sell for money instead. If you don't care about the crafting (maybe wise) the money is probably of more use. Dunno how the crafting item sell prices stack up though

So, with some testing I have figure out the issue with the Cold Blood perk. You only get a cold blood proc if you do NOT kill a person with a stealth takedown (neck crack/knockout). On TOP of that, you will only gain xp towards cold blood if you kill an ADDITIONAL person while you have a previous stack of cold blood up. So, since I am playing on hardest difficulty level as a sneak person, I never earn XP towards this perk, because killing two people within 10s of one another is already a huge ask, and it not proccing on the stealth takedowns limits me even more (since literally all my kills are takedowns, excepting robots). Sort of disappointing that the stealth stat perk doesn't work with stealth, but whaddyagonnado
