I’ll add Microsoft gave me one in 3 minutes this morning, but that’s anecdotal and I know someone got told to pound sand by Sony. Honestly the fact so little got released helped for me (in terms of gameplay) and beyond the E3 demo I really didn’t seek it out.

Honestly I think they will sort stuff out. I mean 1.04 was already a huge fix for a lot of stuff. Most of my issues have been people getting stuck in buildings and some Jank. The fact that I save like every few minutes probably mitigate a lot of crap, but it’s not something that should be expected for most players to need to do.

word, I love the verticality, especially when you play a ninja assassin type

the setting itself is probably the bleakest and most relatable to me for a while. I thought I liked shadowrun, but I realize now I prefer not having a fantasy element, because it grounds the game more

Funny enough despite loving Deus Ex, I’ve never played Bloodlines. Actually this kind of is what draws me to cyberpunk so much, no mythological or fantasy stuff (Witcher 3), not post apocalyptic (ie fallout with monsters or ghouls), just a science fiction future that feels...like it could exist, like DX. Like Shadownrun Hong Kong was great, but the main hook of it, the fantasy stuff mixed in, I just hate that stuff.

I guess I like the Deus Ex like setting a lot and Cyberpunk is so similar, which is probably why I’m so forgiving on bugs and jank.

I do like how you can mantle stuff when you jump between buildings in this game and the verticality. I feel like that’s not getting enough praise. I know there’s some advanced falling damage nullification abilities, but otherwise it’s not gated off at all, which is cool.

20+ hours in and I'm absolutely loving this game as the janky Deus Ex sequel I always wanted, including the verticality and multi-path quest completion. Too bad the open world map vomit GTA stuff isn't as good as the main(and some side) quests, but I've always liked story-based games more anyway.

This Rare mod for some reason only takes uncommon material to craft, but disassembles into uncommon AND rare materials. So for a net cost of 3 common mats, I can get 1 uncommon and 3+3 rare for free, plus crafting XP for both crafting and de-crafting it.

Go find an epic grenade spec (they're sprinkled across the map).

You need Grease Monkey perk, but they cost me 1 and 1 for uncommon mats to make and then disassemble into (I can't remember the exact number) rare and epic mats.

That with the $10 beverage disassemble trick, means I can basically generating limitless money and mats. The only part that sucks is the money part since those drop boxes only have 20,000 and a reload doesn't reset them like it does vending machines. So I have to wander around a circuit of them then wait awhile and do it all over again. It's good though, I can get around $100,000 in 30 minutes or so.

I wasn't expecting to go so deep in Crafting (lvl 11), but the rewards are so worth it (until they patch it out as I suspect they will).

They only thing I was hoping for was a good Legendary mat generator, but it looks like more perks and attributes in Crafting for that. Or buy them.

I wanted to enjoy it but the car AI is just super unnatural jank. Also the slow speed they drive at seems to exacerbate how obvious the games aggressive offloading of NPCs and cars is. For the most part I can ignore it but the Panam missions in early act 2 were really hurt by this. Spent so long just gliding around in that car like it was on an air hockey table or something.

Yeah the first mission was like this too with Jackie driving you home and taking a super painfully slow loop around the parking garage floating like ice while the rear tire is locked up and squealing.

They should have taken all the missions where a NPC drives you and replace them with flying around in an AV in the limo bar like at the corpo start.

Even though the world looks great it's really unsettling to view it from a car that's sliding around unnaturally while the NPC driver doesn't even move the wheel while turning.

I like the open world for actually looking at it-- there's some fantastic architecture porn in Japantown (and probably further south in the richer areas but I haven't gotten there yet). And the markets around there capture the style and feel of Blade Runner very well.

The only way I wish this game was More DX-like would be to drop the psuedo Diablo loot and just give me Pistol, Combat Shotgun, Rifle etc. that I can slap a scope, larger magazine, laser site etc. to.

Mod Slots to give it stat bonuses are fine, but there doesn't seem to be much variety in the possible stat mods either which is boring.

Like if you took the fantasy stuff (well and the net runner gameplay is not fun for me) SR:HK would be so fantastic for me. I mean it’s still good, but goddamn I don’t care or need cyberpunk ogres.

Like I’m kind of happy I don’t have to worry about random calls or vampire, zombies, or ogres and other crap I don’t care about appearing. I mean I wasn’t even a fan of the grays in DX. I just love that it feels like this could be a future. It’s a lot easier to accept the tech stuff, since the world is realistic, for lack of a better term.

Also the cyberpunk setting is so well developed with all the cool lore books out there. It’s just fun to read about on its own.

CDPR added NG+ as a free update, but you'd import your character from an autosave just before the point of no return.

Sort -- or better yet, Filter -- by Type would be pretty handy. I've found that sorting by Weight is fairly helpful because Pistols are always gonna be lighter than your Rifles and such, so that helps a little bit but it's not great.

Sorting your Armor for the purposes of vendoring all the junk you pick up is obnoxious though. It just mixes everything in and it's kind of hard to tell what's equipped when you've got like 20 pieces of gear...

I had a hilarious bug with incredible comedic timing during the (end?) of the Delamain quest line that I thought it was part of the game

I reset the core, which rebooted Delamain and kills all his alternate personalities. In return he gave me a car from the fleet. As soon as Delamain said it was mine and I looked at it, it flipped on its side and exploded.

Took me a while to realize the quest was prompting me to get in the car. Had to reload save.

Yeah the ability to filter more would be a lot better.

Also they should just make the converts trash to components free. That said I do like the humorous text that accompanies them, but honestly they could just go into a log or the database.

Even if you don’t care about crafting, that auto junk perk is absolutely essential.

Edit: ^ more like by type of gun.

Probably mentioned already, but the crafting perk to upgrade materials conversion rate is 6:1. There's a shop which sells 50 legendary components for 1k each.

You can also go to the record store 'junk' shop and buy two legendary records there, which break down to 1 crafting and 3 upgrade each for not that much.

Good. I can stop the attribute drain in Crafting at 11 then. I can generate all the others at a cash positive rate, so having a cheap source of legendaries is nice. Not interesting in craft legendaries this go around. But I do want to make my own epics.

CDPR could save themselves so much grief by simply adding a dev console and less modding restrictions (if they’re any). People have been fixing Bethesda games for decades, this wouldn’t be their first rodeo.

There's a mission with Panam (whose name always cracks me up, I wish she was dressed like a flight attendant) and they repeatedly stress how "snake, this is a sneaking mission" and there's a big hullabaloo about being stealthy the whole time if we can.

So I drives my van right through the gates of this place and run over a couple of dudes and the game sort of stops me for a moment, Panam goes "okay NOT the plan, but I'll cover you from the vantage point (that i was supposed to go to first)" and then you get out of the car and its chaos. I was able to survive but I'll do it right too. I think this trigger was meant to happen before I had killed someone and alerted everyone in the area to our presence, she got out of the vehicle to head to the vantage point but got caught up with fighting, oops.
