Steve- O was sober during 3, IIRC. After Dunn died, they took a break, and until recently, Knoxville was the major hold out from coming back. (All from various Steve O interviews) Steve O has been clean and sober for a long time, is a vegan, and owns an animal rescue.

Republicans want more Paycheck Protection Plan funding, which secretly goes to way more big businesses than small businesses. They also believe that unemployment checks and free money make people lazy and businesses should be allowed to treat employees like cattle. So the main part of this deal is that PPP gets funded, UI gets sorta-funded, and a shitload of funding goes to the states/localities via education and covid spending, just not blank-check funding. I believe there's also an eviction ban extension and student loan repayment delays too. The unspoken things are that state/local revenues didn't crash as much as everyone thought they would (but it's still bad) and businesses aren't getting sued anywhere near as much as Republicans think/thought (but the big business lobbying machine is in overdrive). Also, Republicans don't believe in spending money to help people in the first place.

A friend used to work for a not good company where the owner donated over a million to trump in 2016. A quick check reveals his company got a PPP loan in the $5 to $10 million range.

There's pretty much no way to fairly distribute money to keep businesses alive because the economy is unfair. I think the ppp was good and I want more because it did accomplish its mission of keeping a lot of businesses from firing people. It could have been better but it could have been way way worse.
