I only support the 17th game if it's a random draw with its own show around the time the schedule is released. Have Goodell or various alumni/celebrities pulling balls out of two of those Bingo spinners. One spinner has all the teams, the other has the locations (6 "first team home" 6 "second team home" and 4 neutral sites). Maximum chaos with some teams getting 3 games against a divisional opponent, having to play two road games against a non-divisional team, a marquee matchup getting a 9am London game, etc. Also add a second bye and knock 2 games off the preseason.
