Ha, looks like you can just buy a full desktop with one installed for the same price of upgrading right now. Might not be a bad idea. Have my room computer and my living room gaming computer.

There are loads of people selling what amounts to assembly services. Though, they likely will have a better shot of getting those cards first. I've been wrong before!

I was following one of the rtx 3070 stock trackers and constantly responding to it the second it went off and it was driving me insane. This might not work for anyone else but I just hung out on newegg at exactly 7pm central which is when the 3070 combo deals got restocked and would f5 for like 10 minutes after they start dropping. It drove me less insane than using the stock tracker and took about 4 days of doing it to pay off.

Mostly clearing my PS4 backlog, though some have been updated which is nice.

This is a thing a lot of people are doing. are you mad at Bloomberg is pointing this out or what am I missing here lol What PS5 games do you think people are playing? There's really only Spider-Man miles morales and demon souls, neither of which is a true/full PS5 game

It's the PS4 version so yeah you may as well be playing it on a pro, I'm holding off on getting it until they make an official PS5 version/patch and fix all the bugs of course but that's why you should avoid playing most games during launch. With so many games and such a huge backlog I cannot relate to the anxiety people get from trying to play a game as soon as it drops and having to deal with all the issues it comes with. I gave up on it and requested the refund from Sony already. I really liked the little bit of the game that worked properly. Hopefully it'll be better in a few months or next year or something.

Mrs. Olds and I got some original artwork as Christmas presents to ourselves. I'm bad at photographing them without reflections, but oh well. Closer look:  And another, smaller one:  And the artist gave us two free prints with them that we liked too, including a piece by his wife! (again with a bunch of glare from my lights)

Over the last few years whenever I thought about a rangefinder camera I kept looking at the Canon V/P/7 series cameras. The closest I've come to a rangefinder camera is the Contax G series. I just love how those canon rangefinders look. Have fun.

No Glerups talk yet on this page? Allow me... Threw a pair on my wishlist after this thread talked them up. Got a pair of the shoe style with leather soles in navy blue last weekend as an early gift and, unless I have a reason to leave the house, I’ve pretty much been wearing them nonstop since. They’re comfy and do a good job of keeping my feet warm but not sweaty. My only advice is to size down a bit — I usually wear a US 13 (in e.g. Adidas) and got the US12-12.5 equivalent Glerups and they’re still a touch too large. I think slightly too small would stretch out a bit but slightly too big doesn’t give too many options.

Those of you who got Glerups, I assume you got the slipper model? Which sole did you get? I kinda like both of these models but I wonder if I should save some money and go with the leather sole since it's meant to be worn at home.

I got the leather soles. The plus side is that I feel comfortable wearing them on my furniture, whereas I'd never do so with stuff I'd take outside. Only get them if you're absolutely sure being fine not taking them outside, as they feel like pavement would wear through them pretty quickly.

 Impulse buy at Costco that I don't regret for a second. I'm a slow coffee drinker, so by the time I get to the bottom 1/3 of my cup it's cold. But NOT ANYMORE. Battery lasts "up to" 80/90 minutes but most of the time I'm anchored to my desk for work, so I'm always close to the charging pad anyway. The app is a little stupid (preset temperatures for different types of tea that are literally 1 degree apart) but once you set it up and set the temperature you like, you basically never have to touch it again. It's definitely overkill for my current work-from-home situation, but when we return the office I'll only be at my desk for like an hour or two a day, so I wanted something I could carry with me.
