No, I remember always hearing that dinos were scaly reptiles and it wasn't until I was an adult that people started saying they probably had feathers. I was 13 when Jurrasic Park came out, man.

For some moderately blessed content, my brother sent me (via unblessed company) this bo ssam that I ate last night

Thanks for that reply, sincerely. I’ve been sitting at home for some weeks now, and sometimes I feel invisible.

That meat looks incredible!
I’ve been a pretty strict vegetarian for the past 5 years, but I’ve never stopped wanting to eat it. I almost get a kind of giddiness from looking at it. Is bo ssam a typo or something I never heard of?

First time. Love his little fist pump. :3:

I just got new glasses for the first time in 5-6 years (and my first pair of bifocals), and this is the first post I saw. On my phone. Without having to blow the browser up to like a 72pt font size to read the text!

I know that fist pump, little dude, and I'm doin' it right there with ya. #turboblessed

(The googly-eyed stare is also accurate, I was yelling out license plate numbers and street signs the whole ride home, much to my husband's annoyance)

Look at that little guy! :kiddo:

Also, maybe maybe too personal a question, but: with your new glasses, do you also experience a difference in seeing faces, at a particular distance?
I’ve always had an exceptional range of vision as a young person, but things are naturally degrading. That’s fine, perhaps glasses in a few year. But I am curious to find out what I had been missing without knowing

As a relatively recent glasses wearer (like 2.5-ish years ago got my first pair of spex at 37), it's weird as hell and takes some time to adjust to wearing glasses and seeing everything clearly. Took about a week or so for me to adjust, it sorta felt like I had vertigo or something. I'm tall, but wearing glasses somehow made me feel taller and my brain had a hard time adapting. The biggest thing for me was being able to see foliage and individual leaves on trees clearly. Faces and such are also a big thing, on the rare occasion that I leave my house without them on, I won't know who I'm seeing untl they get pretty close to me. I have to have them on at every waking hour, I can't even lay in bed and watch a movie unless it's on my phone close to my face without being annoyed that I can't see everything clearly. They're kinda annoying to wear with masks cuz of fogginess, but you just have to fiddle around a bit and get everything lined up right.

One, don’t give up cause of a job. My last job nearly destroyed me, it made me think I hated my career and made me think I was terrible at it. After a little time I found a better place, and now I’ve gotten better at it, i know I wasn’t ever that bad, I just had to find the right people to help me get really good at it.

Second, if you’re a fan of that somber music, please do yourself a favor and watch the show “the leftovers”. That composer did all the music for at least the first season, which is indeed very somber. The second and third season are even better but they are a total trip.

Here's Miyamoto showing off the new Nintendo theme park. His pride at what they've created really shows and he gets to summon his inner Willy Wonka/Walt Disney (without all the anti-Semitism). The combination of a couple of beers and being a life long Nintendo fan made me tear up a bit.

I’ve had somebody reach out in PM as well. It might be small things, but this thread, this forum, can be a real life saver.
