Half the reason I love the Fate franchise is just for seeing random showndowns between stylized depictions of historical and mythical figures. Ragrarok is going to scratch that itch nicely. (Hopefully.)

The first half was really good but it takes a pretty steep drop in quality after the big boss fight. I lost engagement and dropped it with 4 episodes left because I just didn't care enough to finish it.

The show had a premise that could have been interesting; building a nation out of a bunch of monsters and outcasts, but it undermined itself with its lack of conflict. The main character could beat any challenge with zero effort, be it winning a fight or befriending someone or managing a city, so the whole thing just felt pointless. And then the last arc ditched most of the established characters so Rimuru could go and hang out with and be adored by a completely different group, which dissapointed me since I actually kinda liked some of them. A couple days behind on the season finale of Elaina, but I see they decided to resurrect (and fail to answer one of) the age old questions of if you had a chance to sleep with yourself, would you? And would it be gay or masturbation? Also, some of the short cut animation looked janky as hell. The Elainas getting swung around by the vines and her hand in the opening shot were literally just stills being moved around the background.

Caught the first episode of Vlad Love since it was Oshii's return to anime. Not something I would normally check out were it not for his name attached but even so it sure was a dang bummer to sit through an Oshii comedy anime and feel boredom instead of joy. Ah well, them's the breaks.

speaking of s2s, the advertising for love live nijigasaki's blu ray is https://twitter.com/Zacharylion/status/1340861391343796226/photo/2 referring to it as '1st season' could be a typo or misprint but given the way theyve kind of treated it as a spinoff and the way the show was mostly character intros/arcs condensed into one ep ive seen people just sort of take it as read that its only gonna be 1 season, so this is interesting.
