This article is not meant to be a carp apologist's piece of propaganda! I am fairly irritated to see that this article had again been turned into a a carp apologist's piece of propaganda! Please, whoever you are, do not do this. You may like carp very much, and that's fine, but we must recognise that carp are an invasive species, and they DO, without dispute, cause serious ecological damage in many of the waters they are introduced into. There is strong anecdotal and mounting scientific evidence of the damage they have caused in the Australia's Murray-Darling system in particular. You like carp, that's fine, you want to talk about eating them and their role in European and Asian culture, that's fine too, but don't bend or whitewash the hard facts about their negative impacts. Codman 04:30, 16 December 2006 (UTC) Carp apologist? Please, calm down. It is only a fish. If you have concrete changes to propose for the improvement of the article, then make them. -Toptomcat 18:33, 9 February 2007 (UTC) May I butt in here! In Britain (and indeed throughout Europe), the carp is not seen as an invasive species. In a well-managed eco-system there is absolutely no reason why carp cannot (and indeed do) co-exist well with other fish and plant species in aquatic systems. Perhaps the problems in the US and Australia say more about the way you manage (or mis-manage) your own aquatic enviroments? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.44.107.40 (talk) 22:06, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie received mixed reviews from critics. The Hollywood Reporter called it an "overly long and almost obsessively self-indulgent" and "aspiring cult film" with production value which "hovers above home-video quality by a few admirable notches", noting that the "filmmakers manage to capably anchor these disparate storylines to their central plot concerning crusading gamers."[13] The Michigan Daily student newspaper of the University of Michigan gave this film a mostly negative review, describing it as unfunny, poorly edited, badly paced, and too long. This review argued that the soundtrack by Bear McCreary was good and the best aspect of the film. The reviewer noted that The Angry Video Game Nerd was "the pioneering internet 'gamer' show," which he had enjoyed greatly, so the film was a "disappointing failure."[14]

In May 2006, he became the host of the station's morning drive-time program The Last of the Famous International Morning Shows, replacing Mighty Mighty Bosstones singer Dicky Barrett.[24] Escalante's morning show included daily appearances by film director David Lynch, who served as weatherman, and actor Timothy Olyphant, who served as a sports commentator. The show also featured a weekly wine tasting and education hour called "Wino Wednesday", and hosted a number of celebrity guests including Crispin Glover, Christina Ricci, Pat Buchanan, Will Ferrell, Maynard James Keenan, Werner Herzog, Phil Donahue, Kristen Stewart, Harry Shearer, Dennis Hopper, and Andy Dick. The show was endorsed by companies and products such as iPod, iTunes, and AT&T. Indie pulled the plug on the show in November 2008. Two months later, the entire show went off the air and switched to Spanish ranchero music.[25]

EIDE Van Hagar posted:still not half as bad as when i washed that crash live it was even worse than that - had he hit another f1 car there's a *chance* - depending on how free the car was to move - that he'd have been okay. instead he hit the counterweight on the back of a mobile crane moving a crashed car. had he just hit the crane, he'd almost certainly have lived too - unfortunately nobody had noticed that the counterweight at the back was exactly at driver-head-height and the overhang of it was a couple of centimetres longer than the nose of the car. as it was the head protection around the cockpit sort of did its job by deflecting the counterweight up (which is how he even had a head left) but that meant the extremely rigid roll hoop then took the entire energy of the crash meaning whatever was left of his head then decelerated from 150ish mph to zero pretty much instantaneously. weirdly enough i was on that exact page a couple of days ago, i assume the goon hivemind tuned in to the grosjean crash

i thought this one was cool Colloquialisms In Filipino, the corresponding word mitsa has come to be used in the phrase mitsa ng buhay, which translates to "detonating cord of [one's] life", a metaphor for something that is very likely to cause one's death via direct jeopardization (e.g. extreme sports, versus smoking).
