It's a deliberate design choice to not let you have a gun early, fine but I had to stop playing and google the issue thinking I had a bug. the main thing that annoyed me was that the Alien learns based on what you do to ditch her, but if you simply outwait her and don't use any dirty tricks, she gains random awarenesses anyway to make sure the late game isn't too easy. this put me in a situation later on where it turned out that the noisemakers i had been holding onto for ~just this occasion~ had randomly become useless. it's still a very good game, but man that was the fastest i have gone from in it to win it to dropping a game into the cooler.

If it's priveledge that I don't feel the need to dig deep into every piece of media before it, then I don't even know.
