I thought it was best for something like peanut butter cookies because of the forming it into balls, I was just gonna do an hour or two but I got tired. so I have posted in yob for many moons but I have a question. what is CCCC/why does it exist/how did it come into existence there is a big ol' mishmash of threads in there and the threads are very good in fact, but like the Xbox thread for example. there is an Xbox bread in Games so why do we have one in C^4? is it like an even more shitposty version of the Games thread? where did that thread exist before CCCC if it was moved there? I have many questions, and I am phonepoast on the app otherwise I would read saclopedia I guess but it'd be cool to hear a true OG yobbler perspective too |

You can talk about a topic, you can just chat with the crew you developed in that topic, or lurk and just read. The threads are entirely on their own and have their own set thread culture, there is no subforum culture at all, the thread have their own thread IKs and a fixed crew usually. It's like byob in general is, but limited to one thread basically. It has nothing to do with byob, although we moderate it somewhat, but it's officially the domain of Jeffrey, although I often handle reports there, too. Our IKs have no power there and there is hardly overlap between byob and CCCC. It's a cool forum though! I like it and I like taking care of it. Feel free to chat in there and join a mega thread chatting crew, it's fun people.

The CCCC trans thread is really great, a lot of heavy stuff comes up in it, as you might imagine, but a good amount of BYOB energy leaks downwards into CCCC so everybody remains pretty relaxed and nice.

But, it became abundantly clear very early in my reading that it is not the place for cishet monolingual anglo whiteboys to really say anything, and the residents of the thread are not there to answer my questions about trans-ness (I don't have an appropriate vocabulary, and this is part of what I'm trying to learn through lurking). A lot of my own incentive to read is to learn about people different from myself, and to gain a different perspective on my own internal thought processes. Trying to slough off the ingrained problematic thinking from my upbringing, and discovering there's a whole lot that I'm oblivious to.
