otoh my urge to revisit childhood dbz games also got me replaying the budokais and budokai 1 is like... actually decent? i remembered it being way worse than budokai 2 and especially 3 but. honestly the gamecube port fixes all its visual problems and in terms of how it feels to play it's like. fine. not as good as budokai 3 but a lot better than i remembered and its weird story extras kinda own it feels better to play than xenoverse 2 at least
