It's fascinating how they can use back in time to break all these game mechanics and manipulate the saved state of the game. Buuuut it also makes it completely impossible to follow because the run becomes very disjointed and the things they have to do to manipulate the back in time are seemingly completely random. It's still fun to watch but I can get it not be everybody's cup of tea.

I put it in the same category as speedruns that use a whole bunch of out of bounds tricks, particularly ones that need to crawl through a void or shove their face in a wall (as opposed to ones like Diddy Kong Racing where you can see the stage you're skipping). Technically impressive, but as soon as I get distracted I can't get back into it. For long runs I prefer something where I can drop in and catch up on what's happening at the moment even if I don't necessarily grasp how because that was explained earlier.

I have had this run on in the background while doing some other stuff before Awful Block and the audio commentary is making it sound like a complete nonsense run. Really hope we manage to get Gamelon, it's gonna be a bummer if we miss it.
