I think this is the most likely outcome by far

I'm not saying it's good and that it kicks rear end she was killed -- it's bad she died and it's always bad when the state commits violence to anyone -- but she was not "executed for a broken window" she was trying to storm the seat of state power, even if totally incompetently, and the fault for her death lies more on the insane hosed up strain of reactionary white supremacist magical thinking that is qanon that colonized her mind than anything else.

Her actual death was the world she wants to live in.

The expression doesn't work though. This isn't a dramatic break with the The Way Things Were, its just another incident of heightening tensions.

they dont need an excuse or reason to do these things. people have already been arrested for doing sit ins and the state has hunted down and murdered protesters. theyve been beating journalists in front of their cameramen

Yesterdays sacrileges in our temple of democracy oh, poor defiled city on the hill, etc. constituted an insurrection only in the sense of dark comedy. What was essentially a big biker gang dressed as circus performers and war-surplus barbarians including the guy with a painted face posing as horned bison in a fur coat stormed the ultimate country club, squatted on Pences throne, chased Senators into the sewers, casually picked their noses and rifled files and, above all, shot endless selfies to send to the dudes back home. yesterday's actions were no more a coup than the 2011 wisconsin teachers strike where they occupied the statehouse and demanded the legislature pass the kind of laws they wanted

if anything the teachers were far more of a coup because they had actual demands, structure, organization, and leadership and operated in confrontation with law enforcement

in otherwords, settle down you stupid beavises. this was just a demonstration that turned into a riot. they weren't terrorists and the weren't doing a loving coup. but they were morons. its also not good to celebrate the kind of state violence that is itching to be used against you and yours just because it happened to be used against your enemies

The Wisconsin State Capitol is an open building, literally anyone can walk in off the street without going through security through numerous entrances. It's not at all the same.

Its not much of a riot if the cops let you in and back out again.

You call that state violence? The pigs were basically tickling these people with batons. Imagine the bloodshed if they were anything besides fascists.
