hawowanlawow posted:when jalapeno ketchup was invented, regular ketchup became obsolete I agree, spicy ketchup is legit. This stuff is interesting because it's supposed to be bbq sauce but tastes like ketchup, but it's way spicier than other spicy ketchup, so it kinda does a great job at that. it does a bad job at being bbq sauce

What? It's super sweet and has a ton of liquid smoke in it. It's tomato based I guess, but it's distinctly a barbeque sauce. I basted a whole rear end turkey in it for Thanksgiving and I'll do it again.

Wont ton crisps. How is a can of Monster $4.50 but a plate full of seafood is $19? I don't think this restaurant is run well at all.

a pound of shrimp caught that morning and served that evening is like $11 at market, and all you have to do is steam it. that's a pretty good profit margin for a main

Make sardine carbonara. Just treat the sardines like guanciale/bacon. It looks like a terrible mistake but it's heavenly if you like sardines. I feel like a foodie snob would argue less over sardines in carbonara than shrimp but I don't know why.
