This thing seems like it still has a large chance of going to zero long term. Turning all GameStops into comic book stores without the comics is weird as hell to me.

As a person who works in the comics industry, even with comics it is hard for these kinds of places to survive most places. Certainly seems impossible with the overhead of a corporate structure and shareholders.

I can't see how the operating margin makes sense for GME. They just can't compete with non retail, non brick&mortar. I cant see how they pivot to make up that margin either. I assume a lot of their margin was made on resale, but with consoles going to online only purchases its hard to see GME as a going concern.

At least two of them. One of them lost an annuity worth multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars a year over it.

There was a bug with Robin Hood's calculations on box spreads and it was posted to reddit. It let you increase your margin by opening spreads so some people had the bright idea of constantly doing this and turning their $100 into massive leverage.

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/trader-says-he-has-no-money-at-risk-then-promptly-loses-almost-2000-2019-01-22 looks like the right time. I swear someone did this to the tune of 1m+ but I can't find it.

Basically, they feel as though things have gone too far and the downside risk is perhaps greater than the upside opportunity at this point

Expect extremely good news from Johnson 7 Johnson in ~2 weeks. Not sure how much of a drop in the bucket this will be for one of the largest pharmaceuticals in the world since it's "only" a COVID vaccine, and it's 4th across the finish line.

That said, it's a single dose, easy to transport, and NOT an mRNA drug so it could be a good additional tool in the arsenal

I'm extremely glad I went 500 ---> 2000 commons on the day of the Bloomberg story. Wish I had 5000, but that's the way it goes.

The volume is ridiculous. An LOI would probably push it over 30.

My reasonable PT is 40. But in this market, with 100 million in CCIV volume a day, where QS goes to 130?

I've been trying to figure out how many of these assumptions are already priced in. I bailed out of MRNA for a profit, then went back in thinking it had more gas in the tank, only for it to fall 15% over about a month on nothing but positive news.
