Manga is in a weird situation. Some quick searching shows that Princess Candle isn’t available in English, and pirating/scanlating is often how manga finds its initial Western audience. A lot of manga only get brought over officially because the popularity of the scans prove that their is an audience for it

Like, I’m all about supporting the official release (I have two bookshelf full of manga volumes), it’s just that pirating isn’t really black and white here

I think they just meant you should just save it and upload the pages on imgur to obfuscate it, not that you shouldn't read scan sites. We all read scan sites

Is his costume supposed to be bright white? I mean, if this wasn't in b&w. Because that's what the shading of his mouth and chin makes me think.

It's not that kind of test.
I'm getting to the end of Moore's Swamp Thing and although my comics experience is relatively limited this is one of the most creative page layouts I've ever seen (issue 61). The artist is Rick Veitch.

I remember at one point, I said Guided View shouldn't be used because of things like this and was told that the format of comics panels doesn't matter.

I wonder how the effect would differ, seeing the individual panels and then zooming out to the whole, versus perceiving the entire page and then looking panel by panel.

Speaking of Moore and Veitch they also worked together on Alan Moore's anthology comic Tomorrow Stories. Here's the first page from one.

The rest of the comic runs like this with each story of the building in its own time period, eventually all coming together for the end.
