Heathcliff has gone from "same exact poo poo for thirty years" to loving amazing absurdist nonsense fairly recently

It's anything but ruined. Not sure about nerds though

As well as Gensōkyō being the fictional location the games take place in. Also Chen playing with foxes -- Chen is the cat familiar of Yakumo Yukari's fox familiar, Ran.

We're all awash in a sea of blood, and the least we can do is wave to each other.

Way back someone made a comic making fun of Ryan Sohmer and portrayed him addicted to artificial masculinity and slowly shriveling up while his artist (Lar DeSouza) took pity before injecting him again.

I remember lol'ing 10 years ago, but it might be lost to time.

I've got a pocket full of cheese🧀, and a garden full of trees🌴.

I think new Heathcliff is funny.

But I do mourn the lack of him eating a fish by putting it in his mouth and then pulling out a full intact fish skeleton.

This is why Top Cat will always be better than Heathcliff.

Is this an anti-masking thing? Because I think telling a bunch of CHUDs they'll eventually become Mandalorians is basically a wet dream for them.

It's a guy, Peter Gallagher. He's the nephew of Heathcliff's original author George Gatley and took over the strip in 1998.

The Heathcliff author knowing Touhou would've been funnier, but I'll take a stealth reference.

I remember reading a LICD comic edit of the presumably insufferable strips where the protagonist, for some reason, does a TED Talk, which instead goes into the comic's history and how it went from acceptably mediocre to incredibly masturbatory garbage.

That sucks. It's like the Stephen King-approved "The Shining" compared to Kubrick's "The Shining". There's more horror in the mundane than in the overtly weird and creepy.
