The European Parliament "calls on ... the member states to unequivocally recognise the constitutional continuation of the legitimate National Assembly of Venezuela elected in 2015 and the legitimate interim President of Venezuela Juan Guaido", it said. restoring by a democracy by supporting a guy last elected 6 years ago

EU parliament has about as much democratic legitimacy as Guaido so why not.

They've already been banning Venezuelan, Cuban, Chinese, Iranian etc official accounts since well before they banned Trump, and they will continue to do it, and they do it irrespective of the decision to kick Trump off the site, because the State Department tells them to do it. duhhh but aren't you worried about the slippery slope of Big Tech Censorship? what if you get banned from twitter next?? https://twitter.com/bombsfall/status/1347774878502559744

If nothing else the banning of Trump was twitter announcing that it's a player in global politics and that it's not loving around, which is bad, but also it's not like that power would have been dormant had they not banned Truml so w/e

The abstentions is mostly socdems not having the guts to declare one way or another.

Banning Trump is actually national politics since they are an American company and he was the American president.

There's no way Venezuela's government wants to get rid of Guaido. They might replace him with someone remotely competent.

I don't think he's a Venezuelan politician, no. I'm asking if whatever domestic base Juan had in 2019 has evaporated because that was my understanding

Probably not but what difference does it make if actual Venezuelans hate the guy? The US doesnt even tolerate vote counting domestically lmao, with foreign states "democracy" literally means just electing people we like or else its fraud

Yeah if the Maduro government collapses, it's not like there's a motivated and organizing opposition behind Guaido ready and waiting to put him in power. The EU recognized that whatever you think of Maduro and his government's democratic legitimacy, Guaido is a dead end.
