In Germany, yes.

In the U.S., they'll use whatever an AR-15 shoots.

im just saying that theres no secret class society or anything. its a rare example of a scifi utopia thats actually a utopia where nobody is oppressed. the cliques of minds in special circumstances get into all these elaborate schemes because theyre bored and discontent and wanna hang out with the boys

lol, it's a stealth wage cut via pitting drivers against each other

the "priority" drivers get more rides because the algorithm offers rides to them first, but it's not like the number of rides increases (especially since there's no mention of passing that rate cut to the customer in the form of a cheaper ride). so the more people enter the "priority" program, the fewer rides are available for the drivers who didn't take the wage cut. ultimately, almost all drivers end up forced to accept the wage cut because they don't get any riders otherwise

guess Lyft is feeling good about their recent union-busting successes

What do you think is going to happen? The dog becomes terminally depressed and exits the thing with a two pack a day habit and bottle of whisky in it's hand, writing screeds against the cruel hand of man?

Just wait until you hear about the new Lyft Priority Plus, where you take a 20% cut in your rate to get more rides with a higher priority than the regular Lyft Priority drivers.

I know this is tame in comparison but Murder simulator speed run feels like it belongs here

quote:

I took to YouTube to see how the professionals did it, and soon fell down a rabbithole of Hitman 2 speedrunning videos with 'blink and you'll miss it' assassinations. When I control Agent 47, he's lucky to take out even one target without me panicking and making him hide in a bathroom for half the mission.

These speedrunners take the idea of the silent assassin to the next level. The pin-point precision in every run is downright scary as runners set up traps and take out their targets so quickly it's difficult to keep up.
