Sabu's gimmick with tables was originally moonsaulting into them out of frustration after losing a match. It took some time for him to switch exclusively to putting people through tables. As for blading and gig marks: The prolific bleeders without much in the way of visible gig marks, like J.J. Dillon, Bobby Heenan, and Ric Flair, were all guys who gaffed themselves horizontally high up by the hairline, making it blend into natural forehead wrinkles more while also being hidden by hair at times. The reason that more wrestlers don't do it, at least according to Steve Corino, is that it hurts like a motherfucker.
