Damn it, this always happens. I think I'm gonna score, and then I never score. It's not fair.

The NFL tried something like this in the 60’s, called the Playoff Bowl. Everybody hated them and it died with the merger.

See they had to name it something like The At Least You Tried Bowl and then people would have watched it

Gotta say I’m surprised this season wasn’t a giant clusterfuck. Steelers and Titans(?) got screwed with a surprise bye week but made the playoffs. I was expecting cancelled games in November and a lot more outbreaks

No preseason probably contributed to all the injuries early on though

edit 2: gently caress this is the NV thread not the pregame thread. playoff lurker strikes again

I'm still mad nobody caught any of those insane Mahomes passes, like they basically figured the play was over and just gave up trying to catch the ball because surely he couldn't get it near them

Honestly, despite the fleecing the Chiefs took, I actually watched that game thinking that Mahomes is probably the best QB in the NFL. He got the poo poo beat out of him but was still getting bullets out. I knew he was very good, but I had not seen him get bullied and still push through.

GIVE ME MORE
SUPER BOWL
WINS

The game may have been good if Mahomes had more than a half second to find a receiver.
Or if his receivers didn’t drop the ball like it was COVID.
And refs decided THIS was the game they would really flag everything in the secondary.
Just a boring, miserable Super Bowl for everyone who isn’t a Bucs fan.
