I saw a MENA conflict Twitter account (not sure which one) that showed the inside of a car after a GI Joe Ninja Blade Missile with GPS action hit it.

They said the guy in the back seat survived with minor injuries. Witnessing that is a major injury.

People are under the misconception that the goal of that is to chop people up. The R9X was a response to near misses of concrete filled training Hellfires getting near misses on guys. Those blades just increase the potential of hit on a guy. It's essentially the 21st century version of dropping an anvil on a guy.

If those ground crews aren't painting Wile E. Coyote on the sides of the Reaper and writing ACME on the missile they are really missing out.

The damage to the antenna mast seems to have resulted in a total loss of communications and the submarine was required to navigate to a location where the crew could contact their base headquarters using mobile phones. This resulted in a delay of three and a half hours before the crew of the Soryu could report the accident.

I'm just a civilian landlubber but that seems... not great. I would have assumed that if you're gonna buy a ~$500 million submarine, you might splurge on a $500 handheld satellite phone as a backup to your single-point-of-failure communication system. I guess the military really is a land of contrasts.

This is true enough but submarines aren't designed to be rammed into ore freighters when they surface so this is way more operator error than a design flaw.

As I understand it, Republicans want to completely dodge the question of Trump’s guilt by focusing on the unconstitutionality of the trial.

Voting to acquit on those grounds is seen as a way to tacitly wink at Trump supporters while also saying they never actually voted on Trump’s incitement of insurrection.

At this point it’s probably just about getting people on record as being ok with his behavior so they can use it during election season.

If Donnie pulls the "can't impeach former presidents, voters/prosecutors could determine the consequences later" defense, he likely skates on a 55-45 acquittal (needed 67). If he even tries to own libs with a bullshit "THEY TRIED TO CANCEL ME IN 2016 TOO" thing, he likely skates 55-45. Republicans will tolerate that level of bad faith.

But if he pulls the RIGGED ELECTION, I WAS JUSTIFIED defense, bets are kinda off. You're basically trying to make cultists pick country instead, though.
