Another hastily-cobbled-together day, so let's bump the "fun" part straight to the top. 9 Fetishweed Lane presents a fully grown woman who, even after giving birth to twins, can fit into the Catholic school uniform that she wore when she was 13 years old...snugly. And she just decides to wear it around town, because reasons. And that's what's we're doing this week! HA! HA! I'm trying to figure out how big a growth spurt would take a skirt from a third of the way down the calf, the way McE has always drawn them, to a block away from the demilitarized zone. I'm also trying to figure out the bad life choices that led me to asking that particular question. Sally Forth Pearls Before Swine Skippy (July 21-22, 1933) Peanuts, in which maybe he is Joe Term Paper Mill after all. (February 11-12, 1974) Funky Winkerbean Plagueshaft Rip Haywire Thimble Theater (September 9-10, 1937)

There's something uncomfortable with how Holbrook is spelling out that these two are gonna gently caress, especially because Rudy's design is still the same as when he was twelve years old. Twelve by Pies posted:Outstanding choice, I know the first person I want everyone to meet from my company is someone with a permanent scowl on their face who acts like an rear end in a top hat to everyone they interact with. Look, if these new hires can't handle someone like Fi, then clearly can't hack it in Fastrack licking the boot of their corporate overlord. Better to cut the chaff now, than have them crying to you later. catlord posted:
Honestly, if this doesn't end with Axa killing off all these slavers then it's already a terrible story. Hell, Jason needs to be cut down as well because he heard what this place does and he's still willing to work with them. The only lover Axa needs is the cold, mechanical arms of Mark Ten.

Makes sense when you realize that young Edda (as drawn now) has weird stubby legs but an otherwise adult-proportioned body. All the growth is in the gams!

In the world of "Kevin+Kell" wouldn't " Been reading about [Animal] Courtship" just mean you've been reading erotic stories? Or would it be more like using National Geographics to scope out some topless tribal ladies? Like, those old " Letters to Penthouse" " Dear Penthouse, I never thought it could happen to me, but..."

I'm having trouble too. I think it's because that aside from the Shadow himself, the cast is mostly guys in suits with few, if any, distinguishing features. The Flying Jenny artist is better at making individual characters recognizable. Candi Rhymes with Orange Get Fuzzy 2/9/01 Brenda Starr 11/12-14/45 In case you forgot every man in the strip is in love with Brenda, even Basil Rathbone here. Smokey Stover 6/11/39 Richard's Poor Almanac Bonus ad! What indeed? "Experimenting with" makes me think of an Island of Dr. Moreau scenario, with scientists trying to hybridize Japanese prisoners with John Adams and Benjamin Franklin.

I wish to go on the record that I hate this story arc of Classic Kevin & Kell, which will run this week (July 12-16, 1999) and the next. As a reminder: Dolly is Corrie's clone. At around this time, in the real world, it was thought that clones aged much faster than "natural" animals, because on genetic analysis Dolly had shorter telomeres than normal: telomeres are the "ends" of chromosomes, and their length is directly correlated with age. The theory was, since Dolly was cloned from an adult animal, she was "born old" and would thus experience accelerated aging and die sooner than usual for a sheep. This, however, isn't true: while the real world Dolly did die younger than usual, it was because of an illness that is typical of her breed of sheep, and had nothing to do with "accelerated aging," which was proven by the fact that other clones lived a normal life, without any unexpected symptoms.

Green Intern posted:So have Rudy and Fiona just never had sex before in K&K? Is Holbrook also a secret abstinence guy? Apparently, since they're both half-fox, they follow fox mating rituals, which involve being alone together for three weeks before the deed, and they'd never done it before they were forced by this situation. I don't recall this being mentioned before, but I have quite a large gap in my K&K knowledge since I stopped reading daily in the mid-aughts.
