They were members of various associations involved in exploring and preserving caves. 7-16 year old me has been inside just about every cave in Indiana and several in Kentucky, up/down ropes into pit caves, and through very tight spots. But going through holes like that video is still a no go for me.

I like when they show the slow-mo footage, you can see the guy with the hammer is barely touching the mochi. This is false mochi-skill charlatanry.

I can't see a Home Office video on the YouTube channel linked before. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tY7wIuXQF8 It looks like this is the video being referenced. TLDR From reddit: tl;dr: He went through a rough divorce, he struggled with dating, and found new love with an English speaking girl in India. He married this woman, England Acknowledges the marriage, and regardless, England will not allow his wife to travel to the UK for bullshit reason after bullshit reason. After roughly 3 years of bureaucratic rejection after rejection, he sounds genuinely at the point of suicide; though stable for now. He reveals that part of the reason he hasn't been making videos is that he's been unable to even face the camera in his emotional state, the other reason being so much time needed to prove that yes, his business is profitable and has been for decades.

It's a shame because he made some really great content and clearly had a lot of experience specifically with high-voltage systems (I recall in one of his videos he mentioned doing work for MOD contracts).

That thread is great, he's having computer issues and isn't very comfortable working with computers, so of course his best option is to install Linux!

It boggles the mind, I've given up trying to do anything video related on Linux, the only option seems to be to use insane command line statements with ffmpeg and hope for the best.

I've never had an issue using Handbrake, but I also don't need anything more advanced than that. Kdenlive is supposed to be a decent editor, and DaVinci Resolve if you need something more high-end, but not free.

Resolve is free. It lacks some of the features of Resolve Studio, but it's not a heavily crippled trial version. I think what free users would miss most is the lack of GPU rendering and less output compression formats.
