The last government department I used to work at used to block all outgoing numbers as private. A large part of my job involved calling people and because I couldn't give them a number to ring back on, I had to just tell them that I'd be calling again later from a private number. Birthday in a couple days. Took a whole week off work which is the first time in nearly 3 years because I'm a sucker for punishment and then city gets locked down. Guess I'm going to skip seeing the family and just chill at home the next 5 days getting drunk and playing videogames. I'm pissed but that pretty much tracks for my original plans anyway.

I just had one claiming to be nbn shutting down my landline - fair go they have been doing that as the roll-out goes along - but when it connected to an indian call centre she started the your internet has been hacked spiel. I said I only have a landline no internet and she hung up  08 number.

We woulda seen the results of that weeks ago Yeah that was the first time since the initial phase of the pandemic that I thought we were going to go into hard lock down in NSW. 2 dudes at the bottleo serving customers for 10 days straight while infected with covid seemed like it would have been a super spreader event, but apparently we were on top of our contact tracing game or it was misconstrued to the general public.

the girl I went out with couldn't have visitors because her student housing locked down visitors at 4pm today, there are quarantine cases in it, so we had to part ways after dinner so i didn't even get a chance to terrify her as rorschach gently caress this covid thing, this is absolutely the worst thing to happen during the entire pandemic
