Is the credit being extended on all manufacturers regardless of where they individually are or is it only to the ones who've hit the limit It's an extension for all manufacturers up to 600k vehicles, but for manufacturers that have already hit 200k (Tesla and GM), they get another 400k vehicles delivered in the US above wherever they are now. Basically leaves a donut hole for folks that bought after 200k and before the extension, assuming is passes as-proposed. They should make the 400k extension for BEVs only, that'll give GM the ability to take full advantage of the credits.

So, I'd like to know more about the technical specs of the 2.4kw onboard power generation on the new Ford Transit EV. Things like available voltage outputs, duty cycle, max continuous output, overload protection... What's the best way of finding that info? Just simply send an email to Ford? Speak to a Ford commercial vehicle dealer? Other?

We also have 4 motors and monitor each wheel for slip independently. We can also turn each wheel in any direction independent of the others (hence the tank turn video.) We also have a drift mode.

Has any testing been done with running DOT drag radials on the R1T or S? For the climb tests, is it done using the stock A/T tire option (BFG KO2's)?

Model 3 test drive report: sweet Jesus that acceleration. I test drove a long range model and despite owning two EVs, that legitimately blew me away. I can definitely feel the extra weight over my Volt and Bolt, and the tighter suspension. The car is pretty fun to drive regardless, and everything being on the middle screen is a near instantaneous adjustment for me. I took it into my workplace's empty parking lot and did some tight turns, it's really fun for those, but I was overcorrecting pretty hard. The one pedal is also tuned really well IMO. The weird thing was the blinkers. I'm not sure how to feel about them returning to center when you toggle them on, but I'm sure it's not a big deal once you're used to them. I still don't completely trust autopilot, but it was drat cool watching it turn on its own.

The blinkers is a good observation though, even after months I still am not the biggest fan of how it behaves. It works, I'm not turning into a BMW driver any time soon, but I do miss the feedback a traditional indicator stalk has.

As a Model3 Dual Motor owner: Do not buy a Tesla. Yes, they are fast, but after you get used to the acceleration, you will have a car that has a mediocre interior, horrific build quality, and terrible customer service. Also, you will be making Musk richer.

I'm hoping we hear more about the new Korean models soon, because I think they're the closest to matching Tesla for charging performance and efficiency right now, with relatively mainstream models. The more the better though. Toyota said they're making 2 new models but didn't say what. Oh and of course I'm excited to see the Rivian, but I'm not a truck guy.

BMW has always gone above and beyond not only fixing issues they didn’t need to but always gave me loaners so I could get to work, even paying for Ubers both ways. I wasn’t convinced Tesla would do the same. I just wish I could afford a Taycan, here’s hoping the i4 doesn’t suck.

Looking forward to see what the new Ioniq brand reveals on Tuesday. The "5" is supposed to be announced, and the Kia twin "CV5" should be close behind. Right now waffling between picking up an ID4 1st (there are still some left at dealers here), the much better equipped but smaller and ICE car based e-Niro (ventilated seats!), or hold out for a little while longer.
