I'm hoping the Girls Hockey anime will be able to avoid the curse that girls baseball anime has had the last couple of years *eyes the production messes of Tamayomi and Cinderella Nine*

It doesn't have the hitoribocchi writer though. The writer's the same as Harukana Receive which I expect this to be in line with.

feel like it's worth clarifying that they're, the writer of the harukana anime, not the manga. machida's worked on lots of different stuff so it could really go any direction, though a lot of what they've worked on is good

Does anyone know if there is a way to directly or indirectly contact Yoshihiro Togashi of Hunter x Hunter fame? I only just discovered his back issues are the main issues for his chronic pain and I have a relatively extensive history of working on celebrities specifically for back issues as a licensed massage therapist.

I know Shueisha is the publisher of Shonen Jump, but do they also cover his direct manga publishing? Simon and Shuster handle his American releases but I doubt they have direct communication with him. I've never dealt with a client outside of the US or Canada before so I'm not sure what the line of contact is. I would never usually ask this in public but I can't find any real references or people who seem to know what the answer is.

Rehabilitating sinner
So. Two weeks ago I finished an anime that I had known about for a few years but never really watched or read the manga. It was a fairly popular one and I saw it was on Netflix, after watching Dorohedoro and wishing could watch something with substantial more episodes this other show seemed to fit that need rather well. It was not as mature and was more typically animeish fair but it had it's charms even if the characters had noses due to the artstyle that made me think of how nose holes on skeletons were drawn, but that kinda fit the show and theme. Oh right, the shows title.

It was Soul Eater.

And yes I just heard someones heart thump hard reading that.

You know already don't you?

So did I, only I did not.

See, as I watched it there was a memory that was trying to reach me. Hadn't I heard something about it once. What was it. Something about the ending? Or was it another show. Wasn't there something that drove people up and down about it.

Oh well, what was there to worry about. Then I reached the half way point of the episodes and a buried memory began to surface. Reading a forum once, there was a big thread about the shows ending. Something that pissed off people.

Then it came to me. The punch. But maybe I was misremembering, might have been something else. Maybe. Probably. Could have been.

Finally I got to the end. The big bad doing his thing, overcoming all and then.....the punch. A single punch beat the bad guy. After all the crazy powerful people and deities, weapons and techniques used failed, it was a simple punch that did him in.

Bravery! Oh and the power of friendship of course.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

Feh.

Excalibur was best character.

The manga ending isn’t a whole lot better in my opinion and was starting to run out of steam by the end (if I remember right the final chapter is literally just setup for a bad pun).

There’s also the prequel series Soul Eater NOT which I remember being slightly better, it’s a very different kind of story though.
