RIP Sandro Dori, Italian actor who worked with such directors as Federico Fellini and Vittorio De Sica, though MST3K fans know him best for his role of Stud (who may have been coming) in Diabolik.

Watched the Arch Hall Jr film that the Mads did the other night: “The Choppers.”

Great riff of a film about a gang of car parts thieves, horny cops, and a song about having a monkey in your hatband.

I think Overdrawn at the Memory Bank might be in my top 10. We could go like 10 pages of the thread just quoting the riffs.

Overdrawn really is in the pantheon of perfect episodes. The field is so fertile for riffs and the movie itself is watchable and I think the skits are funny but that might be up to how much a person has sat through PBS pledge drives before. It's definitely a good candidate to introduce somebody to this odd cow town puppet show.

(I tried Eegah as a first time viewing experience once, it didn't end well. I think it's too aggressively grimy and Arch Hall Jr. is just Arch Hall Jr-ing it up all over the place.)

Danger Diabolik is an interesting episode because honestly I feel like it doesn't work very well. And this despite/maybe because I actually like the movie they are riffing quite a bit. I feel like it doesn't jive very well together, and I end up liking both parts less than I generally do separated from one another.

Overdrawn at the Memory Bank seems like it would work better in a book where the goofy terms wouldn't come across as so goofy.

I love when the elderly therapist lady points out for the hundredth or so time that Fingal was caught "viewing...cinemas?", and Crow exasperatedly yells out "Yeah, that's been established!"

The only elements from the short story that are the same as the movie are Fingal's body being misplaced and him being trapped in the computer. All those goofy terms and "cinemas" were made up. He was put in the body of a lioness. Appollonia is the person who tries to keep him sane while they search for his body.
