The name Zefanias used to run in my mother's family. I'm glad it ran out before I was born. The family ghost was one "Redbeard-Zefa". I never saw it though.

Touché.

I encountered a Wina the other day. I guess "wiener" wasn't slang for penis back when her parents decided to name her the diminutive instead of Edwina.

At the NHL outdoor game today, the anthem was sung by Aurora C. Gooch.

Then, while introducing some healthcare people at the game, one was named Dusty Gooch. I have no idea if they’re related, I was too busy laughing.

The female lead in H. G. Wells’ The Time Machine is called Weena. Clearly not hilarious when it was written (1895) or in 1960 when the film was made.

Scottish computer scientist Dame Muffy Calder is a whole load of unfortunate. The title just makes it worse.

I was reading about Mississippi history for research and came across a plantation owner named Haller Nutt. One of his eleven children was Fanny Nutt, and his dad was named Rush Nutt.

Even by 18th and 19th-century plantation owner standards, surely RUSH NUTT was still a ridiculous name?

I think it's pretty, except the spelling. It's just a variation of Athalie (French version of Atalya, which is Hebrew and thousands of years old.)

The worst thing about having this name would be all the idiots who will insist on calling you Natalie, no matter how many times you tell them.

You are asking for the person to name a singular thing that is wrong with each name. If you wanted to ask for multiple you would ask "what things are wrong"
