Everyone who eats meat should have to kill one animal of that type in their lifetime. No hamburgers until you kill a cow, no chicken mcnuggets until you kill a chicken. As a society we are so detached from our food source, and how that food gets grown/delivered/processed.

My boss really early on took me for a tour of the plant to see that I was fine with it all, but growing up around farms and so on, if I want meat that's just where you get it. I have plenty of crazy stories about accidents, dead cows exploding over windows due to a robotics bug, or escaping and dying in the cafeteria. But really, nothing of the cow was wasted, and ethically that mattered to me.
