Buddy got some korean corndogs today in houston  quote:Only 2 had sugar but it wasn't overly sweet at all. i disliked the mustard ketchup combo more than i disliked the sugar. Cathy Mitchell is a joy and a delight. I own every single one of her horrible cookbooks and I watch her infomercials on purpose. I have made food from her books. It was bad. I went to a big geegaw food conference just to meet her in person. I secretly want to be her (or one of the hosts on JTV) when I grow up. Late night TV is the best.

I own at least 148 books of hers, but I sincerely collect them like a lunatic so I own multiple versions of the same books. I'll go count but it's more than 30. Recipes get reused all over the place though. And literally none of them are great.

I was wrong, it's 17 actual books. But there are multitudes of little pamphlets that come with her kitchen gadgets and she has about 30 of those. There was also a subscription recipe card thing in the 90's where you got a box full of HORRIBLY printed recipes every month. Those are my favorite. I'll take photos tonight when I get home. Goddamn I love those books. My favorite is the dumps for diabetics. It's SO BAD.

Somewhere in the old thread was my attempt at making a cookies and cream cookie after a dumb viral recipe video. It worked, but ignoring the absolute insanity of crushing cookies to put in other cookies, they looked terrible. Tasted good, but not nearly life changing enough to make again.
