I'm not interested in constructive criticism, believe me.
if someone wnats their wrestling opinions or ratings to hold as much weight as daves maybe they should start writing and talking about as much wrestling he does and also give ratings to individual matches but considering nobody else is actually doing that who the hell else are people supposed to turn to for general impressions other than the guy whos been doing it the same way for decades

Well, I wanted to like AEW but I haven't really had enough time to catch the broadcasts on FITE regularly, so I guess it's a bit difficult for me to keep up with the storylines. Obviously that's not an issue on AEW's part, and it's more something that's on me. That said, I have enjoyed what I've caught.

It's funny to me how so much AEW criticism comes down to "argle bargle kids these days". I'm in my mid 30's and AEW is a lot closer to the wrestling I grew up on than WWE is.

Maybe not always the in ring stuff, but the general aesthetic and direction of the product. Wrestlers are allowed to take risks and be their own people, stuff doesn't always work but it leaves everything feeling a lot more organic

WWE is so micromanaged that almost everyone feels like a slight variation on the same character. It's basically a 70 something year old sociopath playing with human action figures.

I can't see the Rock or Austin becoming break out stars with cross over appeal if 90's WWF was run like the current WWE.

I'm almost 31 and AEW feels a lot like prime Nitro to me. WWE feels like the handful of months WM 17 and 18 where the invasion era started and they were just burying everyone except this era's been dragging on for 8 years instead of 8 months.

The thing that keeps turning me off when I watch random AEW matches is the camerawork, it's way too active and frenetic. Give me a single hardcam with zooms and pans done in-camera and I'll take it every single time, I'm personally able to immerse myself way more with that than cuttting between several cemeras. New Japan is a bit calmer and more enjoyable, but it's nowhere near as much as I enjoy what the CyberFight Promotions do with their smaller shows
