Conversely, while I have my misgivings and Snyder's creative and ideological vision for some things, I would absolutely work with him on anything he asked as many times as he asked, because he sounds good to work with and is committed to a vision (even if I don't love it). I'm sure there's a flowchart somewhere on Nolan's computer in both chronological and percieved order, it's too swaggeringly smug about how "well actually upon four viewings and a youtube tutorial there are no plot holes" for it not to be worked out, but then he decided to just leave out a bunch of really crucial poo poo (Neil has multiple loops still to do when the movie ends, even though we've seen him doing that poo poo from the perspective of the other characters, meaning there's multiple Neils in any given scene appearing and disappearing for no apparent reason), and also leave the main villains completely off-screen and with incomprehensible motives (they want to make a time paradox even though paradoxes are impossible and doing so would destroy them too, because they're in the future of the timeline they're trying to wreck, because ________?????).

multiple small loops are okay as long as it doesn't affect the main big loop but really the movie at the outset tells you to not think too hard about it and that's exactly what you should do. chris got really high one day and thought it'd be cool to make an action scene in reverse and he made a movie that did it

Nolan's become a film bro meme director, but I still find his stuff interesting enough to give a fair shake which is more than I can say for a lot of directors. Still think The Dark Knight is the best superhero movie. Rewatched it recently, and fellas, it's still one hell of a movie.

The last film my wife and I saw in the cinema was The Invisible Man. It's a really good movie, and seeing it in the big screen worked really well because you spend so much time looking all over an empty screen looking for some movement, never sure if he is there or not.McCloud posted:Would you say you're kind of a big deal? Now, go save the world." I wouldn't have then had to spend so much time thinking about how the time shenanigans worked, and would have been able to overlook the plot holes.

Was Interstellar similar for other people? My wife and I tried watching it on Amazon a few years ago and it's the only movie we've ever turned off within 15 minutes because the sound mixing was so bad we literally couldn't hear any dialogue. Wondering if that was just us, the file that Amazon had, or if Chris Nolan is some sort of psychopath with how he wants the sound mixed in his movies these days. Did Inception break him?

Getting two rear speakers at Christmas gave me surround sound and made almost everything sound crystal clear. But Tenat was no good. It was like the Hans Zimmermann soundtrack with it's souped up bass took over all the other sounds coming off the movie. I think other Christopher Nolan movies are the same.

Recently my mom decided to watch Tenet on her TV and, OH BOY. I quickly understood what everyone was complaining about. even though the speakers in my tv are straight garbage the dialogue in tenet never felt harder to hear than any other movie. but i always use subs so maybe ive just wired my brain oddly
