I guess it’s not the engine because McLaren seemed fine. 3 schools of thought: 1: Fraud team running out of fraud 2: Mercedes is loving with everyone and will take qualifying by 5 sec 3: Mercedes (and other teams with low-clearance cars) is having difficulty with the underbody/floor aero space and was losing a bunch of backend traction especially with the wind being all over the place.

Rest assured however they're doing this in third gear so their outright pace is unknown. hahahaha who am I kidding their outright pace is 1.5s ahead of the field.
