Beware the Oinks of March

The Socialist Democrats are doing what they love best—spending other people’s money.

Their latest spending bill is designed to combat the bunk that is ‘climate change’ by installing AOC’s “New Green Deal.” Vast sums will be spent to create the infrastructure for the thing, and simultaneously our fossil fuel industry will be destroyed. Our energy independence will be destroyed as well. So will our economy. Not China’s economy, though. They get to continue to pollute and burn coal. Their enemy is the USA and it will collapse for their benefit.

But that’s what the Socialists Democrats want—the destruction of America. It will be replaced with a totalitarian Chinese system—only America will not be nationalist like China. It will be globalist in nature. Powerful globalists are pulling the strings behind the scenes to make it happen and they will become even more powerful.

That’s what’s really hiding in Pelosi’s Trojan PIg—globalist totalitarianism.

I've got a treat. Up until a few months ago I worked for a startup in Bermuda. Before I left I interviewed for my replacement and one of the applicants interviewed on behalf of a design and marketing firm. Among other things, they create comics. Some of them are political. Have some Bermudan political cartoons! (They only make one a month, and not all are political, so these are old. If they make more in the future, I'll post them here.)

Tell me if you can figure out what this means:

"Former PLP Minister Zane DeSilva is in the hot seat due to the transfer of the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) office to a building that he and his family own at a cost of almost $800,000 a year. Real estate experts are saying that the very high rental fees make the relocation of the concerned government department not a value for money. The DCFS was previously based at Milner House on Victoria Street, Hamilton at a cost of less than $300,000 a year. The huge difference in the rental fees is being questioned by the public but Mr. DeSilva has given no response to the press. Lieutenant-Colonel David Burch supported the transfer of the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS). Colonel Burch claimed that the goal of the move was to “consolidate” the department under one roof to ensure the safeguarding of Bermuda’s children. Colonel Burch also stressed that the current office provides adequate space for the entire department and a modern technological interface, thus making the relocation an advantageous decision."

Yes, Rall makes his living by being the sort of Democrat who can be invited to Foxnews, where he can both show how insane democrats are, while also presenting that they can be convinced by the smart arguments of the opposing side.

uh you can be pedantic and pretend that the problems only manifested when Kav was nominated or whatever to say the first two things but yes stuff like RBG dying on the bench after going to a maskless wedding because she didn't want to retire under Obama so Hillary could pick her replacement was 100% a Democrat own goal that didn't have to happen if she wasn't a selfish old freak.

Hell, the Republicans have shown that they view the Senate as just a game of Calvinball. They can't even be bothered to pay lipservice to the rules they made up the last time a supreme court Justice died in the final year of a presidency. That anyone would think that the Republicans would play fair is mind-boggling dumb, but here we are.

gently caress you. Even by the standards of political cartoons this poo poo is disingenuous. First, it will be a cold day in hell before the GOP ever puts money towards schools or roads, instead of payoffs for defense contractors and the wealthy. Second, the stimulus bill includes 170 billion in education funding. Third, the vast majority of bill is social spending on poverty and public health. Fourth, the discretionary spending portion goes directly to states and local governments, which is exactly what the GOP has claimed to want all along.

Remind me again Stantis, where was this concern for the debt during the GOP's 1.9 trillion give away to the wealthy?

Correct. Even at the low, low interest rate that Federal government pays, they still technically pay interest. But it's literally pennies on the dollar, so even when you borrow trillions of dollars you're only paying a couple billion in interest, and a billion doesn't even buy one new aircraft carrier.
