I feel like there was a particular era of webcomic artists with frankly improbable amounts of popularity throwing absolute strops over the gentlest of criticism, in some cases drawing their fanbase's attention to said criticism they hadn't previously been aware of and found themselves agreeing with.

Wait so in that guy's wildest fantasy Hayao Miyazaki defeats the concept of hate by blasting hip hop music from a gundam and then flies to the moon and paints the word ART in giant green letters so that everyone in the world sees ART at all times?

when i was a child, i had a dream that i would one day create the tallest webcomic. as i was working, zenpencils dropped a comic taller than god himself, and i gave up. years later, someone said something about a thing during lunch, and i decided: i shall write a comic that is more than two gods tall! — me, 2020

I genuinely burst out laughing at the last panel because I thought it was an edit. Like, how is that not a parody?

If nothing else you have to respect the ability to draw Miyazaki saying "It's troll hunting time!" with complete sincerity and no hint of self-awareness. Many people would not be able to do this.

Art is like Zorglub in that it just wants to gently caress up the moon. E: sorry for spoiling a story from 1959.

Lemme just crack the stock off my sniper rifle and cram a bullet in the barrel that’s not even remotely connected to the wood in any way, and then the lever phases in and out of existence while I do it. That’s how these things work, right? e: I also carry my guns around in a pillowcase Dewgy has a new favorite as of 03:53 on Mar 20, 2021 |

That’s how these things work, right? Look, it's a falling-block action single shot rifle that magically turns into a bolt action rifle okay? Besides that small error (and I'm not gonna fault him for not knowing guns) I really like that guy's artistic style, clean and high effort. Shame about the rest of it though. It's like bizzaro Hitmen of Destiny.
