I would like to know exactly who the person who designed the Nopon is though, and who is allowing them to be put into the Xenoblade games, because holy gently caress they are the worst characters in all of video game history. I legitimately like Xenoblade X more than BotW but Tatsu is the most annoying character in any video game ever made and is also in the top 3 characters in terms of number of lines of dialogue.

I got to the dungeon where (XC2) Pyra was taken from me, I couldn’t use the cool combo mechanics because of some sort of miasma, and the game expected me to have another fire blade leveled. No thanks, bye

It's bad enough in Persona and stuff, but at least the main character never talking lets you suspend disbelief and assume he's charming.

Riki is great. As for their creation, I imagine the Nopon are just a holdover from Xenogears.

I wasn't into Octopath until I realized you earned subclasses and then started forming specific party combinations to tackle bosses way above my level featuring equipment I'd powergamed from various NPCs in an elaborate series of trades

The story is the most longwinded possible treatment of something as shallow as "my dad is sick, need medicine" or "i want to become a merchant" Like hundreds of textboxes saying nothing. Dancers plotline had a strong hook at least. Reminded me of the opening of dq5.

Today I discovered that I linked my EA account to my old roommate’s XBox account like 10 years ago and now I can’t attach it to my current Xbox account that I’m using with PC Game Pass. I guess I can just make a new EA account but it”d be nice to have everything connected properly.
