He saw his firing as denying him the chance for a family, so he started by shooting the daughter of the dude who fired him. If he'd just started attacking the agents of the blatantly, irredeemably corrupt system that screwed him over, he'd be sympathetic, even for a lot of folks who weren't ACAB True Doom Murderheads like CSPAM. Thats the plot of a bunch of action movies. Instead, his root cause is basically the same as Elliott Rodgers, its just a portion of his incel violence got directed at agents of the state instead of women as a class.
