Utica absolutely had both the best single line and the worst overall performance (from what we saw). Also, as someone who is normally anti Kandy, I laughed and thought she looked great. I still would have rather have Denali still in it or something, but I see a case for her over Olivia. I’m really tired of the sexy baby shtick.

I genuinely think Utica exists to entertain Utica. The problems is that i don't think she has a mean bone in her body and doesn't understand mean =/= roast. I definitely think her apology was sincere but, whew, she's going to feel that one for a while. She's still tied for my favorite but i have no idea how she even made it this far, if I'm being honest. Oh, somebody posted some Drag Race tarot cards from Etsy a while back. I bought some for my fiance as a surprise and the quality of these is amazing. Thanks whoever that was.

Symone's performance had me absolutely squirming and then Utica came out and was so much worse. I love Utica and was really hoping to see her make it through to the final but good god she earned the bottom this week and then some. Kandy did all right, but as others said I don't think she was as amazing as the judges apparently did. She still should have gone home like six episodes ago.

Someone pointed it out so I went back and watched it and they really did use camera angles and cuts in the disco challenge to make sure you don't realize Gotmik should've been in the bottom that week. Good lord that is some awful dropped choreo but good on the producers for editing it so hard that you don't even notice it on first watch so they can keep their storylines.

Individual performances on the runway (roast, standup, etc) don't usually have separate ones, group performances (musicals, the song verse challenge, etc) do. I'm firmly in the "kandy is unpleasant and is being given a free ride" camp, but she absolutely deserved this win. Her jokes had me rolling, and she is the first person in like 20 seasons of this show to make going first sound appealing. She played smart and won. The only ding I have is that she should have had a breastplate or a cleavage contour or something because the masculine chest with such a cinched waist and padded hips was a little jarring, but that's such a minor nitpick.

Is Tina the most "just there" queen to be on the show? By that I mean lasts a relatively long time but never really excels, bombs, or even causes some fun drama. The only other I can think of is Miss Fame, but at least she had her chicken noises.

Honestly loving chickens as much as she does while being so glam was incredibly impactful wrt making a lasting impression, that's a powerful brand imo. I think a queen would have to come on and explain how to butcher a pig in detail while in full geish to top that in my mind

some people just aren't funny, and when you take the humor out of a roast all that's left is being mean. i don't think Utica was able to comprehend the difference (and there have been other queens in previous seasons who made this same mistake!) if anything her biggest problem was completely ignoring the advice from Michelle and Loni. personally i thought Kandy's jokes were incredibly lazy, but i guess at least she had jokes. humor is subjective, sure, but the way the judges were fawning over her performance--and the fact that she WON this challenge!-- is totally insane to me. i would've given Rose another win.

Binge watched season 1 and my biggest take aways were the difference between season 1 RuPaul and season 13 RuPaul. Ru seems to actually have fun and be way more in to it in Season 1, or at least comes off as sincerely in to it in a way that's been lacking for me in more recent seasons. Rebecca getting to the top 3 was super questionable and I definitely don't miss Santino though.

Guys how has nobody mentioned that rupaul actually tucked for her runway walk this week? I haven't been keeping close tabs but a lot of outfits for the last few seasons seem pretty amenable to not doing much with the bits. Tbh I was surprised the balls could even get up in there at that age, that for sure seems like a two person job for a senior citizen
