So this Suez Canal blockage thing... uh.... that's them right? Ship leaves spy-haven Taiwan, draws a dick in the navigation map and then just jams itself in there, human error the only factor. Sabotages global trade for.... everybody but the US. China to Europe route blocked. Tens of billions burnt per day that it's stuck, prices skyrocketing in the short term, spiking so bad that the last time it happened it caused the Arab Spring "revolutions".

Also, the Ever Laurel != the Ever Given, they just share the same ownership company and gimmicky naming scheme. fwiw just dumping whatever in the ocean is basically common practice and widely ignored, the only problem with the toys is plastic is indestructible and they floated, so it didn't just sink to the bottom of the drink to be forgotten about forever.
