the linux iso experience is even more betterer when you want something with subtitles, because amateur fans generally do better quality subtitling and even sometimes overlay floating stylized subtitles on stuff like signs in the background, which you never get through official channels

there will never be a re-release of No One Lives Forever because the companies that made it got merged and absorbed so many times that nobody knows who owns the rights any more and nobody wants to pay a bunch of contract lawyers to sort through twenty years of business acquisition paperwork just to maybe discover that they can't make any money off it

I don't care enough to look into this but I'm going to assume the new dub is actually better and all the fans are just dumb until proven otherwise (like all those old videogame translations like the castlevania one that just completely threw out the original text and made poo poo up but fans refuse to admit it).

something interesting about disney+ in america is while disney does a+++ jobs of localizing songs, on d+, at least for french had the proper french audio for aladdin songs but the lyrics were the literal translation of the american lyrics, and not only that but canadian french despite having subtitle options for both.

frankly im very pleased by just how high quality their translations are for not only words but music and its been a cool language learning took except for those hosed song subs.

we ended up bootlegging the movies anyways to get proper subs which was both disappointing and easy

I may be misunderstanding what you're saying, but it seems like subtitles are almost always separate translations from dubs for whatever reason (and it also seems like they're usually worse because people who like subtitles have bad opinions or something).

It hasn't actually been a place for communicating with humans since the late 90's, so it's just binaries groups.

The way it apparently works now is that stuff gets automatically posted and then it automatically gets taken down because of copyright notices a few hours later so you have a program watching it to download stuff before it gets taken down.

This seems way too annoying to mess with to me, but until a few years ago stuff never got taken down so it was actually nice (for binaries).
