the hardest part seems to be to combat the positivism that looks so obvious to the children of academics. you can do an excellent job with the core values, like ralph miliband did, but if you don't manage to quell the notion that society is basically a technical problem which has some objective equilibrium, you're going to end up with some real freaks jeremy corbyn's kids seem to be examples of socialist upbringing done well, for instance, despite being objectively pretty privileged. i suspect that this is in part becauae corbyn has no higher education

Then after high school we were funnels into the same bougie institutions as anyone else. For communities to persist they need to retain people at all their stages of life.
