They openly have said they should have taken the deal. poo poo, I wouldn’t be surprised if AEW is paying them too and their Impact contract was amended to do both. They’re way more interested in doing AEW stuff over Impact right now. I’m sure that contract thing isn’t the case but they might as well be part of both rosters.

Between reading bad machine translations and talking to one of Kikutaro's friends, this is what he's saying happened: The work visa he had been in the U.S. on, sponsored by Lucha Va Voom, had expired, so he went back to Japan. There, he got a tourist visa to enter the U.S. so he could close out his lease, move his stuff into storage, etc. So he scheduled a trip, he was stopped at customs during a layover in Hawaii, and they claimed that he was listed for an upcoming Lucha Va Voom show. But Lucha Va Voom hasn't run a show since before the pandemic and doesn't have any shows scheduled, plus it looks as if, at least going by CageMatch, he never wrestled a match for them before, anyway. (IOW: They couldn't have been confused by an old poster because he had only worked as a talent liaison for them as best as I can tell.) So he was denied entry and deported to Japan, where one of the people working at the airport remarked that a lot more people have been turned away in Hawaii as of late. If that's what happened, then he certainly has a legit beef.
